The Warlord begins each combat with Change Formation set to push her back 3 and each use alternates between pushing her forward and back. As a free action once per turn, Change Formation can be used to push the Warlord back 3 and activate the Advance skill, or push the Warlord forward 3 and activate the Retreat skill. The Warlord has a unique movement skill, Change Formation, which replaces the standard movement skill. When the situation calls for her to plant herself at the front, it takes quite a force to shift the Warlord from the melee where she puts her greataxe to great use and shields her rearmost allies with her bulk. The Warlord is highly mobile and imparts that dexterity on her allies she moves them into position ahead of their deadliest strikes, or can simply return less flexible allies where they belong without wasting their turn if the enemy has caught them off guard. Not even the opposition can hold formation in the face of the Warlord’s taunts, horns and hooves. Comrades weave through the ranks at the cue of her warhorn. No matter the odds, she provides an inspiring example to her allies, heartened by her calls to action and the sight of her greataxe felling lingering foes. Her great mass and might ensures she can always find a position to observe and control the flow of battle, whether she is retaliating on behalf of the comrades at her back or preparing a devastating assault to break the enemy line. The Warlord is a hardened commander at home in any position on the battlefield, moving easily between front and rear of the group. “In the proper position, even the distant moon will shift the tide.”
